Some of the on going Issues cruelty

These Animals have had the most incredible things done to them, but yet they seem to forgive. The first bit of love and affection that comes their way and they jump at it with open arms (or Paws)?. They forgive and forget......!
It is about time that we left people know that this is an intolerable act of inhumanity and that we are no longer willing to sit back and let it continue. The Limerick Animal Welfare, run up costs on Vet bills every month of over ?7,000 and the money has to try and come from somewhere. They do not have any Government body supporting them so there is no funding from the government to support this cause. This is why they try so hard to raise it through walks, sponsorships and any form of charitable event that will aid them. It is said that they take in over 70 dogs and 40 cats a month, now you really need to ask yourself what in God?s name are we doing here in the city to have such an atrocity on hand. Something needs to be done.......!

The setting for the Sanctuary is really beautiful, with the Ballyhoura Mountains in the background. We now need to raise another ?500,000.00 to start building the much needed Sanctuary. The development of the land will have to be done in stages to coincide with our fundraising efforts. We estimate we will need approximately ?150,000.00 to commence the first phase of the building project. The current balance in our Sanctuary account is ?30,000. We are at present drawing up plans and applying for planning permission.

my heart breaks when I look at this photo. We picked up kaspar last December he was 14.someone tried to castrate him,he was in an awful state. He had surgery and went to a foster home where he was loved and cherished. He died in his sleep last week,at least he had a couple of months of happiness.
Harrison was just 8 weeks old .He was found in an almost collapsed state buy a group of students underneath ha bush.He was suffering from severe hypothermia he'd obviously been out a while.I'm glad to say after a good few days of worrying Harrison pulled through and is now in a fabulous new home.
This is the little 6 month old collie cross and the five pups. If we didn't take these last Saturday both mum and pups would have been put to sleep. We had to drive to castleisland to a friend, who is minding them,as you can see they are gorgeous.
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog
You are his life, his love, his leader
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
